Tourists Attraction In Rome

If you're looking for top designer names or brands you might need to start skimming along through Condotti. This famous street leads up to Piazza di Spagna and is home to top designer stores like Gucci, Fendi, Prada and Dior just to name a couple. Many Rome guidebooks will highlight this area as the main shopping point. Nonetheless do not be disappointed if you are on a more modest budget, through del Corso is perfect round the corner! On this street you will hit a wide selection of local stores as well as world faves like Benetton and Zara. Book lovers are not to miss the multi-level Feltrinelli book shop located inside a tiny shopping mall called Galleria Alberto Sordi. This is also the best place to stop for a bubbly Cappuccino or a coffee while you are there. If you are in the Vatican area you may want to take a ramble down through Cola di Rienzo and visit the Coin dept store. Here you may also find a wide selection of local shops and street merchants that sell at terribly low costs. To make you stay rather more special why not stay in an Apartments in Rome.

As for markets, here's where you will find Rome's best bargains! The largest and most popular one is near Trastevere and is known as Porta Portese. This market is only open on Sundays and sells both new and used items at great costs. Information on Porta Portese can be found in most major Rome traveller guides. There is no admission fee to enter and it's a good spot to buy cheap keepsakes. During weekday mornings, superb bargains may also be found along via Sannio near to the Church of San Giovanni. Getting here is easy since it is located right off the Metro A stop of San Giovanni. Stay in a Apartments Rome to the special city.

Do beware of sellers selling fake purses and sunglasses especially round the Termini station and Piazza Vittorio ( Rome's Chinatown ). Under Italian law, it's a crime to sell or buy any sort of imitation items. Possible fines could be up to three thousand Euros, usually handed down by the undercover police. So it's best not to chance turning your vacation into a legal bad dream.
